She was born on 8 May 1997 in Mumbai. Her father is famous film actor Aamir Khan and Ira’s mother Reena Dutta is a film producer. Ira Khan’s parents got married on 18 April 1986. And both got divorced in the year 2002.
Ira Khan was diagnosed with TB when she was 6 years old. When Reena and Aamir got divorced in December 2002, Reena took custody of both her children (Junaid and Ira).
After completing her studies, she did an internship in the production department of Equinox Films Pvt Ltd. From April 2017, Ira started working as a freelance assistant director and also worked in many advertisements.
After this, she started working as a theater director from July 2019. After this, Ira worked as an assistant director in the film and television studio “Tiger Baby” in February 2020. Ira worked there for three months.
